Profession – Asthana Pandit @ Mysore Palace
Vidya Gurugalu – Astapatri Vedavyasacharya (At that time he was a renowned Scholar in Shastras, Vyakarana & Dwaitha Siddantha)
“Shastra Ghooli” – When he was one of the Asthana Pandits in Mysore Palace, a very well known Pandit by name Chandramouli Avadhani and challenged the Asthana Pandits of Mysore Palace. Even though there were several pundits, no one came forward to argue with Chandramouli Avadhani. Sri Balachaarya, took up the challenge and after a couple of days of Vagvada involving Tarka, Shastra and other philosophical points Sri Balaacharya emerged victorious. After the defeat of the pride ridden Chandramouli, the Maharaja of Mysore felt very happy and felicitated Sri Balacharya with the title “SHASTRA GHOOLI” .
Contemporaries : Sri Vidyanidhi Tirtharu of Vyasaraja Mutt, Sri Sugnanendra Tirtharu of Rayara Mutt.
Mukhyaprana idol – Sri Sheshachandrikacharyaru had given the idol of Mukhyaprana to the ancestors of Balacharya (in his poorvashrama). Later on, as per the instruction of Sri Satya Santustaru, Sri Satya Parayanaru has done the Pratista of Sri Mukhya Pranadevaru at Uttaradi Mutt, Mysore just opposite to his Vrundavana.
