–   This is the day on which Surya made his first appearance.  This Day is called as Bhanu Saptami or Surya Saptami or Vyavasvatha Saptami.

Bhanu Saptami  observed during Maghamasa is also called as Ratha Saptami.

Bhanu Saptami is also observed during Jyesta Masa and

another time in Kartheeka Maasa.

observed in Magh Month (January – February), during Jyeshta Month (June – July) and also in Kartik month

We have to perform and chant the stotra os Suryantargatha Sri Lakshmi Narayana who is also called as Suryanarayana.
